I recently had my daughters baby shower at Val’s Restaurant and I was so pleased how PERFECT everything was- the food the service the venue! From the beginning I knew Val was going to take care of everything. Val is very attention detailed, she made sure the tables were placed exactly where they should be and while decorating even offered suggestions which was extremely helpful! The room looked absolutely gorgeous- the food was beyond delicious and every one of my guests complimented the food and the service. There were plenty of options to choose from as far as food. The waitstaff were professional and helpful and kind. The whole day was flawless. Many of my guests said they will definitely return to Val’s. 10 stars! ⭐️

A enjoyable restaurant. From the time you walk in to the time that comes to say goodbye. The food is delicious. The Staff is Top Notch. Greeting, table service on point. The atmosphere is a home feeling hug. The decor is beautiful. Go and enjoy a evening at Val's and bring your appetite.

Our Mother’s favorite restaurant was Val’s, so it was fitting that we held our Mothers Celebration of Life in the beautiful event space. Val and EVERY single person we had contact with there were personable, knowledgeable and helpful. When we arrived early , everything was set up perfectly. Special food accommodations were a breeze and we can’t say enough about the wait staff, delicious food and perfect service. The price for the value is outstanding.

It was our first time coming here a couple nights ago and am still appalled. I ordered the asian seafood platter to start. Next for my entree I ordered a steak and my boyfriend got a burger. Food was fine, our server was attentive and friendly. The only thing I had/have a problem with is the owner or at least one of the managers who was on duty. She was blonde with glasses, I could hear a lot of yelling and profanity through the doors leading to the kitchen. It distracted us from enjoying our meal. We asked to move to the bar area, a couple of other customers reported the same. Having been in the service industry dealing with managers and staff, she needs to relax. Otherwise food and service was good.

Typical small town restaurant. Not bad but nothing that is going to "Wow" you and make you want to come back. The menu is conservative and basic. It took us about 20 minutes to order due to the lack of variety on the menu. There were a lot of baked pasta and seafood items in casserole dishes as well as other items that every restaurant has. Overall the food presentation was good. The food itself was good but nothing that blew us away. Our waitress was nice but it took a while to get our appetizer out (Bruschetta). Overall an average restaurant with above average food. Worth it if you live in Holden but I wouldn't go out of the way for it.
